IFSA-Butler Reduces Fees for Fall 2016!

IFSA-Butler fall semester and academic year 2016 fees are now posted to our website. We are happy to report to our students, parents and colleagues that the majority of our programs' 2016 fees are either unchanged from 2015 or reduced:

  • 54 percent our programs' fees have been reduced, some by as much as 28 percent!
  • The average reduction of programs is 8.8 percent
  • 43 percent of our programs' fees are unchanged from 2015
  • These changes mean that over 60 programs are now more financially accessible to our students

To view fees for any program, visit the program page on our website and click on the Dates & Fees tab. You can also compare fees for an entire country by visiting the Program Dates and Fees page and clicking on any country link.

This is the first of many changes at IFSA-Butler to improve the student experience. Cost is an important factor in student participation, and we will continue to balance our costs with the quality of support, service and academics for which we are known.

IFSA-Butler Closes Egypt Programs

After more than six years in Cairo and Alexandria, IFSA-Butler has made the difficult decision to close our Egypt programs. We are especially grateful to our resident director, Dr. Mohamed El-Komi, for his dedication to our students in Cairo and Alexandria. He has consistently gone above and beyond to serve our students, working hard to foster an environment conducive to learning and supportive of their personal and academic growth. We also thank staff members Moataz El Gazar and Nihal Attia for their student support and assistance on site in Alexandria.

IFSA-Butler is committed to quality academic and cultural opportunities in the Middle East. We encourage students interested in the region to consider our semester and summer Arabic language and Middle Eastern studies programs in Israel or our semester and summer options at SOAS, University of London. Students, parents and advisors are also welcome to contact our office at 800-858-0229 to discuss other program options
